If another driver negligently causes the death of a driver in an automobile or motorcycle accident, the deceased victim’s family can and often times should, bring a wrongful death lawsuit against the at-fault driver. Wrongful death lawsuits can provide the families of victims’ compensation to cover funeral and burial expenses, loss of love, care and companionship, as well as other accident-related damages.
While motorcyclists can lessen their own risks of injury by taking the appropriate training classes and using proper safety gear, they cannot protect themselves from other drivers whose negligence causes an accident.
