| Nov 13, 2014 | Firm News

Tragically, a 25-year-old motorcyclist was pronounced dead after an SUV collides with a motorcycle on Friday, November 8, 2014, at approximately 5:30 p.m.  This San Diego motorcycle accident occurred when an SUV, which was leaving the Mount Hope cemetery, pulled out directly into the path of the motorcyclist, who was traveling eastbound on Market Street.  The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene by the paramedics.

This tragic accident illustrates the dangers of motorcyclists on the roadways.  While it is unclear exactly how this motorcycle accident occurred, it appears that the SUV driver may have been negligent when it pulled out in front of the motorcyclist.   This type of accident is all too common in San Diego, as motorcyclists are often harder to see and therefore the victims in these kinds of accidents all too frequently.

The family of the motorcyclist should immediately seek the consultation of a San Diego motorcycle accident attorney who can educate them about their legal rights.  If the SUV driver is found liable and responsible for the collision, then the SUV driver may be held responsible in a wrongful death lawsuit to compensate the family of the motorcyclist for things such as funeral and burial expenses, loss of anticipated earnings, loss of love, care and companionship and any other accident-related damages.

Our personal injury lawyers send sincere condolences to the victim’s family and friends.
